Tobias Edward made his appearance at 12:18 p.m. on Friday, February 13. We are so excited to meet him!

The important details for those who like to know:
--born after 10 hours of labor
--weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce (that's right; he was a big boy!)
--20.5 inches long
We are so grateful that he is healthy and arrived safely! There were some tense moments in the delivery room because his heartbeat kept dropping while he was crowning. After his birth we learned that there was a knot in his umbilical cord. Praise God for protection!
I just can't believe that he's here and he's ours. We've already had some frustrating moments with wild wailing and difficulty breastfeeding, but things have gone remarkably well. I wasn't prepared for the stress of sleepless nights or the incredible joy of just watching him
be. I understand a little better how God loves us regardless of what we can do for Him.

Congratulations on the beautiful baby!!! I'm so excited for you guys. I know that it's a rough next couple of weeks but may he soon get his night's and days correct. May he soon sleep through the night. And may you find the strength and emotional energy to enjoy this stage!!
Oh, he is BEAUTIFUL!! Congratulations!!! Hang in there...the first couple of weeks can be interesting as you get to know each other, such a precious wonderful emotional time!!
